Come and join a Royal Walk or Royal Bike RideTo celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Friday 3rd June 2022 we are organising walks from Allostock, Over Peover and Lower Peover to Plumley for a BBQ lunch.
If you would like to join one of the Royal Walks, along with your dog, or the Royal Bike Ride then please contact the respective leader so they can look out for you at the start.
Allostock Village Hall to St Oswald’s Church, Lower Peover (1.95 miles), will be led by Eddie Baines (07483 241631) starting at 10.00 am.
St Lawrence’s Church, Over Peover to St Oswald’s Church, Lower Peover (2.26 miles) will be led by Sally Aspin (01565 722272) starting at 10.00 am.
St Oswald’s Church, Lower Peover, to Plumley Methodist Church (2.54 miles) led by Brian Drye (07528 851111) starting at 11.30 am.
Royal Bike Ride (18 miles) led by Roger Turner (07900 343078) starting at Plumley Village Hall at 11.00 am.

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert
Thursday 2nd June 2022 at 7.00pm
To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee we are holding a concert in St Oswald’s Church Lower Peover WA16 9PY.
Linda Richardson, soprano, will be singing and you’ll be invited to join in some of the patriotic songs to celebrate the Queen’s 70 year reign.

Following the concert we will be lighting the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee beacon and enjoying Royal fireworks
The Big Jubilee Lunch
Join us for tea and cakes to celebrate the
Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
On Sunday 5th June 2022 we are holding a Big Jubilee Lunch on the playing field of Lower Peover school from 1.00 pm.
You can bring your own picnic or purchase tea, cakes and ice creams on the day from the marquee in the garden of The Little School adjacent to St Oswald’s Church.
Other attractions during the afternoon will include:
- Bear’s Parachute Jump from the church tower starting at 2.00 pm.
- Escorted tours of the bell tower led by members of the bell ringers team starting at 2.00 pm.
- The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee flower arrangements in and around the church
